AYURVED HOSPITAL  Ayurved Hospital & Research Centre was established by the Trust in 1984 under the able guidance of the Director, Dr. S. P. Sardeshmukh. The centre is well equipped with Ayurvedic and Allopathic infrastructure. The Centre was recognized as Ph.D. Centre of Pune University from 1984. The Hospital is a CGHS (Central Government Health Scheme) approved Ayurved Hospital for Panchakarma treatment. DEPARTMENTS OF AYURVED HOSPITAL : There are 14 Departments in the college. All the departments are spacious, well equipped and have highly qualified and experienced faculty. There is facility of Post-Graduation training in Samhita, Rachana Sharir, Roganinan evam Vikruti Vidnyana and Kayachikitsa Departments. In near future other departments also propose to start post-graduation. • Agadatantra The Department has learned and competent staff. The department has well maintained museum having various models, Charts and preserved specimens. The Department arranges various field visits for the students. The department helps the students acquire knowledge about all aspect of Agadatantra and Vyavahara Ayurved. • Dravyaguna The Department has learned and competent staff. The Department is well equipped with Laboratory, Museum and Herbal Gardens. The Students perform the in house practical in the laboratory. For identification of fresh plants, there are huge Herbal gardens in the campus having more than 300 species and more than 7000 plants. The museum also has good collection of dry as well as wet specimens. The department has developed its own seed bank, seeds from which are used for making new plants in the in house nursery as well as for sharing with other institutes and nurseries. The Department has attached library running under the central Library having more than 110 Books. The Department has teaching aids like Charts, OHP slides and CD's. Department also arranges the in state and / or out state field visits for the students to acquire knowledge about the plants from various habitats. • Kayachikitsa (Medicine) The Department has learned and competent staff. The department also has PG and various subjects were given to the students for the basic research in Kayachikitsa. The Department has well equipped museum. The Museum has various models and charts on display for the students. Students also get practical knowledge on patients in our hospital. The students perform the practical in the patients of Kayachikitsa OPD and IPD of our Hospital. The department runs various academic and research activities for the students to ensure better knowledge gained by students. • Kriya Sharira The Department has learned and competent staff. The Department has well equipped laboratory and museum. The students perform the practical in the Laboratory. The Museum has various models and charts on display for the students. The department runs various academic activities for the students to ensure better knowledge gained by students. • Shalyatantra (Surgery) The Department has learned and competent staff. The Department has well equipped museum. The Museum has various models and charts on display for the students. Students also get practical knowledge on patients in our hospital. The students perform the practical in the patients of Shalyatantra OPD and IPD of our Hospital. Various surgeries are carried out at well-equipped Operation Theatre of our Hospital. The department runs various academic and research activities for the students to ensure better knowledge gained by students. • Shalakyatantra (E.N.T. & Ophthalmology) The Department has learned and competent staff. The Department has well equipped museum. The Museum has various models and charts on display for the students. Students also get practical knowledge on patients in our hospital. The students perform the practical in the patients of Shalakyatantra OPD and IPD of our Hospital. Various surgeries are carried out at well-equipped Operation Theatre of our Hospital. The department runs various academic and research activities for the students to ensure better knowledge gained by students. • Strirog–Prasuti (Gynaecology & Maternity) The Department has learned and competent staff. The Department has well equipped museum. The Museum has various models and charts on display for the students. Students also get practical knowledge on patients in our hospital. The students perform the practical in the patients of Streeroga evum Prasutitantra OPD and IPD of our Hospital. Various Gynaecological surgeries are carried out at well-equipped Operation Theatre of our Hospital. The Department has well equipped museum. The Museum has various models and charts on display for the students. Students also get practical knowledge on patients in our hospital. . The department runs various academic and research activities for the students to ensure better knowledge gained by students. • Rog-Nidan (Pathology) The Department has learned and competent staff. The Department has well equipped laboratory and museum. The students perform the practical in the Laboratory. The Museum has various models and charts on display for the students. Students also get practical knowledge on patients in our hospital. Hospital patients also get benefit of the pathology laboratory in the form of pathological tests. The department runs various academic activities for the students to ensure better knowledge gained by students. • Panchakarma (Detoxification) Department The Department has learned and competent staff. The Department has well equipped museum. The Museum has various models and charts on display for the students. Students also get practical knowledge on patients in our hospital. . The students perform the practical in the patients of Panchakarma OPD and IPD of our Hospital. The department runs various academic and research activities for the students to ensure better knowledge gained by students. • Rachana Sharira The Department has learned and competent staff. The department has huge dissection hall and museum. The department also has PG and various subjects were given to the students for the basic research in Rachana Sharira. Students get practical knowledge on actual organ specimens. • Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana The Department has learned and competent staff. The department has museum and a in house pharmacy unit. The museum has huge collection of raw materials as well as formulations prepared in the department. The department is well equipped and has attached standardization laboratory. Students get good knowledge and hands on experience in making different types of Formulation. The department also arrange Pharmacy visits for the students for better knowledge and understanding. • Sanskrit-Samhita and Siddhanta The Department has learned and competent staff. The Department has its museum showcasing various models as per mentioned in the samhitas like, Rasayana Kuti, Various types of chambers for Sweda, Various types of Swedana displayed in models etc… The museum also has good collection of Charakokta Dashemani in the display. The department has PG and it runs various activities for them. Departmental seminar, Satika Tikavachana is some to share. The Department also arranges guest lectures of senior mentors for the students and staff. • Swasthavrutta The Department has learned and competent staff. The department has well maintained museum having various models, Charts. The Department arranges various field visits for the students. The department helps the students acquire knowledge about all aspect of Swasthavrutta.
